Figurative

Mausi

This painting deals with the circumstances in Thailand. Poor cultures meet rich hotel complexes and oyster-slurping social classes. The picture is painted on a cloth that I received from a resident of a small village in Thailand. “Mausi du isst ja garnix” engl. “Mausi you don't eat anything” refers to a wish that says it would be usefull if people in high society were also aware of how things really are and that you lose your appetite at the sight of living decadence.
